who we are?

Established in 2010, Basalt Studio Pty Ltd is an award-winning Sydney-based retail design firm led by sibling duo Anthony Ho and Fiona Ho. The studio approaches every project as retail strategists first, using insight-driven thinking to deliver high-impact, commercially successful design outcomes.

Originally trained and practiced in architecture, Anthony brings a passion for crafting memorable, detail-driven environments. Co-founder Fiona Ho is a 2024 Australian Design Review 30Under30 alumna, recognised under the Architects and Innovators of the Built World program.

Basalt Studio is known for award-winning precinct revitalisations such as Burwood Chinatown, as well as major Lunar New Year installations across Chinatown. Their work blends cultural storytelling, community activation and strategic design to create vibrant, engaging urban experiences.
